I regularly see memes that comment on the phenomena of noticing  repeating numbers and 11:11 seems to be a common one which I regularly experience .In new age circles I think 11 :11 are referred to as "Angel numbers."

Tradionally it was the date/time used to mark "the armistice" and commemorate the fallen of the various wars

11 could  represent two pillars  of a Temple (a common masonic symbol) and one found in the tarot.

More recently it has been associated with the twin towers. Jake Kotze has blogged about these ideas at his blog
