 I learnt to surf at the beaches of "Porthmeor" St Ives and "Gwithian" nr Hayle both under the eye of Godrevy Lighthouse.  Gwithian was featured on this advert for Ginsters Cornish Pasties.

Both my mother and my "Pirate" uncle Keith Ryan ( the Cornish pasty webmaster ) came from Hayle which hosts three of the best known makers of Cornish pasties in the country.

The warrens bakery in Foundry Square , Hayle was my Grandfathers shop in former times and the flat above it was where mum was born , My Grandfather also used to sell tomatoes from my uncle Keiths fathers farm in Trelissick.

Rosie

 During my University years I spent a great deal of time listening to music, going to concerts and Raves. I saw Prince and the New Power Generation during the "Diamonds and Pearls" tour. I later enjoyed the "tuff jam" mix of Rosie Gaines "closer than close" and even got to know Karl "tuff enuff" Brown a few years later while working at Sanctuary, Karl by this time was aa well as being a Music producer was working as a minister with the Jehovas Witness's

Jehovas Witness's are known to be quite zealous in the evangelism which reminds me of an incident that happened just after I finished Uni. I  living at the infamous Clays Lane Housing Cooperative.  In a shared  house with my friend Jonny Jedi, whom I had introduced to "The Illuminatus triology" by Bob Wilson and Bob Shea. I had learned about from the KLF. 

Jonny had graduated un cultural studies and decided to do some research to see how credible the sources in the Illuminatus were. On completion of that task and in the spirit of discordiasm. and partly to practise his photoshop skills. He produced with a little input from me, a spoof pamphlet by the New "Clays Lane chapter" of the Rosicrucians." He passed it to me and a few other "discordians" on the Lane who he thought would appreciate the satire.

Imagine our surprise when a few weeks later we heard that a rumor was circulating amongst the born again/ evangelical christians on the lane, that a chapter of evil occultists were operating on the lane and trying to brain wash God fearing Christians ! and the proof of this we discovered, was none other than the Rosicrucian pamphlet that had somehow found its way into their hands after being left in a communal living area.
