Forests

As a child my parents used to take my brothers and I caravaning to the New Forest and Forest of Dean. It was then I first became interested in Robin of Sherwood Forest.

A forest was a big track for "The Cure" in the eighties.

The first place I ever lived in London was a bedsit in Forest Gate, round the corner from a shop "Da Underground Records"  where I used to buy early jungle and where  DJ Hype (Shut up and Dance), Randall , Swanne and Cool Hand Flex used to hang out preparing their sets for The Orange and other clubs.

Forest Gate is the traditional  "entrance" to Epping Forest which dates back to neolithic time and is where my friend walks her dogs.

A few years later I tookup Kung Fu . My Master taught , Buddhism,  Tai Chi and "Bamboo Forest Temple Mantis." I  even lived in a Buddhist Temple for a year

I only ever lived in South London  for a short period immedately after I moved out of the, but have fond memories of my flat in Forest hill.
