Back in the early 90's I was introduced to Shamanism by the music of The Shamen and Dance 2 Trance (Jam and Spoon) As I began exploring the underground techno and house music on labels such and Plink Plonk & Rising High.Artists such as Pete Namlock & Drexciya. A fishy watery theme emerged.
Around this time I bought a compilation on react entitled "aquasonic trance" and the ambient l.p. "Dreamfish". I attended ambient parties such as telepathic fish and saw global communication/Jedi Knights DJ at the big chill . I even hosted an ambient house at a clays lane courtyard party where Friends in High Places asked DJ'S from "offshore state circus" to play I decorated the house using the same whale images used on the reactivate 7 compilation and at the "Tokyo Sex Whale parties" in Bristol (where Mr C (Shamen) and Dave Angel played blinding sets).
Somewhere along the way I got an idea into my head that dolphins and whales could communicate telepathically with humans via our dreams or even whene we in other altered states of conciousness. (perhaps the dolphin in the RAWs Illuminatus trilogy had something to do with it) Of course I largely put this idea to the back of my mind, but occasionally something triggers it, like my lucid dream of the octopus radiant!
In a recent article I read about native americans it seems at least someone else believes the a similar thing.
